CHAYNGE.ORG is an organization founded by Okechukwu Ofili in 2009. The organization mission is to foster literary talent and achievement, to advance creative expression as essential part of a good education and encourage students to harness the power of collective expression to solve current world issues. We will accomplish this by cultivating critical thinking and reasoning skills among today’s youth by encouraging them to explore their creative talents and find their voice.
To promote this objective, CHAYNGE.ORG will sponsor The Creative Thoughts® Contest annually. The contest will challenge individuals to use critical thinking and unorthodox reasoning to offer solutions to real world problems. The 2010 contest focused on a single educational statistic (According to UNICEF, nearly a billion people entered the 21st century unable to read a book or sign their names. What can be done to curb this trend?), while the 2011 contest focused on a single picture.
